This Thursday join Rev. Rick Anderson for a medley of musical mayhem as he plays Klezmer Christmas carols from the Klezmonaut's CD "Oy to the World" (www.klezmonauts.com) Klezmer, (from the Hebrew "k'lie" (instrument) and "z-mar" (music) is a Jewish musical tradition from Eastern Europe, Romania, and the old Austro-Hungarian Empire. The genre originally consisted of dance tunes and instrumental display pieces for weddings and other celebrations. It's celebratory, unique, and FUN. But what makes the Klezmonauts' selection different is that they're playing Jewish Christmas carols. (What?! Jewish Christmas carols?) I kid you not, gentle reader. We'll also be discussing the history, origin, and spiritual significance of some of Christendom's most beloved Christmas tunes and carols. So tune in, and take notes, with your host Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday at 9:30 - 10:30 pm EST. Listen LIVE through Twitter, LinkedIn, GooglePlus and Facebook/com/fougcrew. You may call with a question or comment at 347-324--5759. To access Rev. Anderson's website: http://www.scripturesdramatized.com
