Try this next week: ask your Christian friend where the Feast of Hanukkah is specifically mentioned in Scripture. Chances are he won't be able to tell you. Or for that matter, ask your Jewish friend the same thing. Most won't be able to tell you that either. Yet Hanukkah IS mentioned in the Bible; but strangely enough, only in the NEW Testament. And it's connected with Jesus. Hanukkah and Christmas: they're both religious holidays occuring about the same time of year , both feature an exchange of gifts and both deal with God's deliverance. But the similarities do not end there. This Thursday hear the rest of this " Christmas - Hanukkah " story. Tune in and take note! Your host, Rev. Rick Anderson, on " Jewish Roots " , each Thursday at 9:30 - 10:30 pm, EST. Listen LIVE at www.scripturesdramatized.com, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew, or through Twitter. [This broadcast is pre-recorded. Do not call in tonight.]
