Try this next week: ask your Christian friend where the feast of Hanukkah is specifically mentioned in Scripture. Chances are he won't be able to tell you. Or for that matter, ask your Jewish friend the same thing. Most won't be able to tell you that either. Yet Hanukkah is mentioned in the Bible; not just in the Hebrew Scriptures (the "Old Testament"), but specifically and pointedly in the New, and it's connected with Jesus. Hanukkah and Christmas: they're both religious holidays occurring about the same time of year, both feature an exchange of gifts and both deal with God's deliverance. But do the similarities end there? Not at all! This Thursday hear the rest of this "Christmas-Hanukkah" story.. Tune in and take notes! Your host, Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday at 9:30-10:30 pm, EST. Listen LIVE at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew, or through Twitter, LinkedIn, GooglePlus and Facebook.com/fougcrew.
