Purim was this past Sunday. Did you miss it? Well, it's easy to miss. After all, it's only celebrated by Jews, right? But it SHOULD mean something to you if you're a Christian because it's in the Bible, in the Book of Esther. The Book of Esther's written in a way unlike any other book of the Bible. Martin Luther had problems with it: "I want to toss this book into the River Elbe!" he said. "It judaises too much and is full of heathenish naughtiness!" Later he came 'round to believing it was divinely inspired. Thursday we discuss why, and thus what Purim has to do with Christians. Tune in and take notes! Your host, Rev. Rick Anderson, on Jewish Roots, each Thursday 9:30-10:30 pm DST at blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew. Listen LIVE through Twitter, LinkedIn, GooglePlus and Facebook.com/fougcrew.
